NTCS was founded in 2001 by Marcel van Dam and late Sjef Ramakers. Marcel and Sjef were both working for KPN (International Consultancy) when, in 2001, KPN ceased all international telecom consultancy activities. Marcel and Sjef used this opportunity to take on all ongoing projects and founded Netherlands Telecom Consulting and Support, now simply known as NTCS. Since 2001, the company has grown into a specialist within every aspect of telecom consulting.

Marcel has worked for KPN and KPN Mobile in various commercial (management) positions. Resulting from his last position as an Area Director with KPN International Consultancy he founded NTCS in 2001, with Sjef as founding partner. Eversince he has helped NTCS expand.
