Team

NTCS was founded in 2001 by Marcel van Dam and late Sjef Ramakers. Marcel and Sjef were both working for KPN (International Consultancy) when, in 2001, KPN ceased all international telecom consultancy activities. Marcel and Sjef used this opportunity to take on all ongoing projects and founded Netherlands Telecom Consulting and Support, now simply known as NTCS. Since 2001, the company has grown into a specialist within every aspect of telecom consulting. Since a few years NTCS is also active in the energy sector, working for various energy companies in the Caribbean.

MARCEL VAN DAM

Marcel has worked for KPN and KPN Mobile in various commercial (management) positions. Resulting from his last position as an Area Director with KPN International Consultancy he founded NTCS in 2001, with Sjef as founding partner. Ever since he has helped NTCS expand.

ROLAND FERWERDA

Roland is Business Line Manager Green Mobility at NTCS. He has been working on international projects in the Middle East, Latin-America, and Africa to support the development and growth of charging infrastructure ecosystems in upcoming markets. Roland has an extensive background in the energy sector and has a Master’s degree in theoretical physics.

BAS HOEFMAN

Bas is responsible for the business development and helping NTCS grow our footprint with Telecom providers, Energy and Electric Mobility companies across the continent. Bas has worked and lived in Uganda for six years and has lead TTC Mobile, a company for market consumer/citizen engagement using interactive mobile solutions.

MAARTEN SMETSERS

Maarten has held various roles at KPN and subsequently worked as an M&A consultant at Deloitte. He also served as the Transformation Director at VEON and Digicel Group in the Caribbean. Before joining NTCS, Maarten was the Strategy Director and an Exco member at Cable and Wireless Panama. His expertise lies in corporate and commercial strategy, transformation, and managing large projects.

Roland Boegheim is a senior HR professional with an international track-record.
